Frequently asked Questions
We create one off designs to suit our individual Clients and their unique requirements Will the Architect be able to tell me if what I have in mind is feasible or the best solution?
Yes,the aim of the initial HomeTreat visit is to make sure you are fullyinformed and in the best positionpossible to make a decision and move  your project forward. Your architect willreview options with you and discuss the implications of each option. They willbe available to answer any other questions you may have, as often this processprompts new ideas.

What are the benefits of starting with a HomeTreat visit?
Byusing qualified Architects to do an initial HomeTreat visit, you will end upwith a home that is right for you and that you’ll also love to live in. You willalso ensure that your investment is maximized and that your finished projectadds value to your property – badly designed extensions and renovations cansignificantly reduce the value of your property. By going directly to a buildermeans, you miss the important design stage, builders really onlyspecialisein building things andArchitectsspecialisein designingspaces.
How do I know if HomeTreat Architects designs a style I want?
TheHomeTreat was created to ensure homeowners get the designs they want rather thanhaving an Architect impose a style on them. All projects begin with an initialHomeTreat visit – the interactive design consultation. During the initial visit, you will be very involved in the design process and your ideas&feedbackwill be encouraged to ensure the final designs are exactly what you want.

How qualified are your Architects and can they assist with issues other than design?
As well as being fully qualified Architects and registered members of the RIAI, allArchitects have extensive residential experience and full knowledge of currentbuilding regulations. Our fees are for architectural services only, so forissues other than design, we can recommend local Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, and Auctioneers depending on what the your concerns are.

Do you offer free consultations/visits?
Our initial HomeTreat visits are designed to get your project going as quickly as possible. What typically might take 4-6 weeks of meetings between you and your Architect can now be achieved in one of our initial four and seven hour HomeTreat visits. We ensure you are fully involved in the process, in control and clear about what is happening. We do not believe anything productive can be achieved in a free half hour sales chat.During our HomeTreat Design consultation we include design discussions, sketch designs while you are present, advice on planning, general building costs, advice on employing builders and construction issues which relate to your project. In addition to HomeTreat visits, we do have an option for an introduction meeting at our offices or in your Home. These meetings are generally one hour long to review your requirements and advise on appropriate services available. Travel charges may apply if you are located outside Limerick city.

How do I know whether I need a half or full day HomeTreat visit?
It generally depends on the size of your project. As a guide, if you are carrying out a single project on one level then a half day HomeTreat Consultation will be sufficient. If your project involves more than one element such as a kitchen extension and a loft conversion or a double storey extension we would recommend that you take a full day HomeTreat Consultation. Any remaining hours that are not used during the initial visit will be held in credit for further services.
What happens during the initial HomeTreat visit?
During the initial HomeTreat visit, your Architect will spend time asking you questions and finding out what you want to achieve. They will discuss the options that you have available along with the feasibility and implications of these options. If there are no drawings as existing, they will take general measurements of your property and sketch out a plan of your property. Once this is completed, your Architect is now in a position to draw up initial design sketches to help you visualize your design and provide input. These drawings will be yours to keep so that you can refer back to them at a later date. The initial HomeTreat visit is designed to be an interactive session so you will be very involved in the process providing information about your lifestyle, your ideas and your feedback on proposed solutions. By the end of the initial visit you should be fully informed and in a position to move forward with your project.
What are the next steps after the initial HomeTreat visit?
Your Architect will discuss further services before they leave you at the end of the HomeTreat visit. They will then send you an itemized pricelist of these and you can then select the pay-as-you-go services that you want your Architect to carry out for you - for example, Surveys, AutoCAD Planning Permission, 3-D, Furniture & Interiors, Scheme Drawings etc. The options are designed to be as flexible as possible allowing you to use your Architect as much or as little as you want.
